Summer Reading BINGO

readingAre you looking for ways to keep your children engaged and interested in reading this summer? We all want to help our young ones stay sharp even as they enjoy the lazy summer months.

Vicki started a new program this summer called, “Summer Reading BINGO,” and our three kiddos are loving it. She got the idea fromĀ friend who is also involved in Classic Conversations and who saw an inspiring blogpost about it.

It works just like the BINGO we played as kids! When Owen, Will, or Natalie read a book on the board, they get to mark that box as complete. Once they have completed 5 across, down, or diagonally, they win!

In our house, we have offered small incentives to keep everyone interested, and they could not wait to go to the library.

Vicki says, “This is a great way to help them choose quality books and give them a reason to read everyday.”
